QAARDAN TEACHERS’ TALENT SHOW AND WORKSHOP: UPSKILLING, MOTIVATING AND REWARDNG NIGERIAN TEACHERS
PROGRAMME DETAILS
As part of our efforts to reinforce effective teaching and learning, our Teacher Talent Show and Workshop, is an avenue for teachers from all over Nigeria, to showcase their teaching methods in form of a skills competition. The Talent show and workshop allows participants to make a five – ten minute presentation during which their delivery skills are assessed using a number of criteria.
The most successful teachers are selected and rewarded as follows:
First Prize: An all expense sponsored QAARDAN teacher training in the United Kingdom
Second Prize: A Laptop
Third Prize: An all expense sponsored QAARDAN teacher training in Nigeria
Consolation Prizes: Other runners-up will get consolation prizes from partner firms and a certificate
During the programme, non-participants/attendees will also benefit from the QAARDAN presentations and participant skills competition presentations, where it is intended to also serve as a mini-training workshop for all.
Eligibility:
- You must be a teacher in a public or private school at the primary or secondary level or a student of education in a tertiary institution
- You should be able to demonstrate an innovative way of teaching in 5mins
- You need to submit the topic, content, class (Please see teacher profile form). The decision on how it will be taught is up to you.
- You will be judging by the following:
- Lateral thinking
- Motivation
- Diction
- Pacing
- Student Engagement
And other principles of good teaching.

Applications and registrations are open till first day of events in each state.

The fees for the 2018 Teacher Talent Show are as follows:

Attendance and participation fees are due on arrival at event venue. Please note, if you are entering to participate in competition, you need to pay only the participation fee!
